GEOGLAM Releases Guidance Document to Enhance Capacity Development for Agricultural Monitoring

GEOGLAM, in collaboration with its Capacity Development (CapDev) Team, key stakeholders, and interested parties, has published a comprehensive Guidance Document aimed at fostering a common understanding of CapDev principles and processes within the GEOGLAM community. The document emphasises an impact-oriented approach that prioritises user needs and demand-driven interventions. It details good practices for designing, implementing, and evaluating CapDev relationships through a co-development process, and includes case study narratives that exemplify successful engagement. The guide is designed to be a living document, inviting contributions from stakeholders, interested parties, and the wider community to share observations, comments, tools, good practices, and case studies for continuous improvement. GEOGLAM hopes that this resource will support the community in their efforts to enhance agricultural monitoring activities and expand the implementation of CapDev interventions.
